This symposium is designed to provide families, schools and communities with information and strategies that will help them combat the rise in youth violence through affiliation with gangs and acts of bullying. Teachers, school administrators, parents, social workers, school psychologists, school counselors, juvenile court personnel, law enforcement officers, and individuals working with youth will all benefit from this workshop. Participants will leave the workshop not only knowing how to recognize bullying and gang related activities, but they will learn effective preventative strategies, as well as proven methods to stop current bullying and gang behaviors.
